Time for Another Spring Reset

After spending a couple of hours yesterday prepping a small garden plot in the backyard, I came in tired and sore but also invigorated. Spring always refreshes my soul, and it makes me want to clean, declutter, organize, garden, and wander. During my weekly grocery shopping trip, I grabbed some space saving bags to compress winter clothing down into a smaller space in my closet. The basement got a bit of cleaning as some of my gardening supplies are now in use outside. A season of blooming gives me all kinds of ideas for improvements, and I always think of it as a reset for the year.

Spring is also the time of year when I can see the big picture on my writing. I can imagine all I want to do, and I create plans to succeed. It’s almost like spring cleans out the cobwebs in my creative brain, and the dust and mess left behind from failed plans last year is swept out the door. Spring is about possibilities.

This year, I’m doing better with writing posts for all three of my blogs, and consistency encourages me to keep working. I have several book ideas I’m already outlining. Plus, I’m slowly learning about YouTube and improving my skills and creative content. Finally, I have completely new blog ideas. By the end of the year, I hope to have put some of these ideas into action. The new beginnings of spring keep me moving forward.

If it feels like a difficult season in which to move forward right now, stop for a moment. Take a deep breath. Look around at the blooming flowers. Take in the new green leaves on the trees. Step outside and find some new green grass to walk on. Look for signs of new life wherever you can find them. Give yourself an opportunity to reset. Enjoy the pause, and then start tackling those difficulties again.

Inspirational Verse for the Day:

As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night will not cease. (Genesis 8:22, CSB)
