In August, I spent some time traveling for a yarn tour in my state intended to highlight small local yarn shops. It was like a series of mini-vacations from my regular schedule. In the end, it was refreshing to go to so many different places and meet so many different people. I enjoyed it all and appreciated my little vacations.
My soul and body needed the break even if I didn’t go very far or travel for many days.

When you have pushed to the end of your energy and strength, it’s time for a break. Take the vacation whatever it looks like for you. I take little vacations every week by doing my favorite crafts, baking desserts, taking a drive along a beautiful route, or watching a drama that makes me laugh so hard I cry. I shut off my work brain, and I just check out for a while. It’s okay to find those moments where we find healing and rest. Whether it is one hour, one day, or one week, it’s important to take a break. Give your mind and your body a rest.

Inspirational Verses for the Day:
“Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30, HCSB)
